Nine Lineups
Personal Project
Overview
A very distinctive feeling arises among surfers when we look at photos of waves. It is almost like an addiction or game that you can’t stop playing. You focus on how they break, where you would position yourself, and how you would surf them. It is an imaginary exercise that has always fascinated me and for this reason, I began working on a project which could transmit this feeling.
Firstly I located good surf spots around the world with the condition that “there should be at least five waves breaking at the same time”. Once finding them, I searched for photos which recreated these scenes by capturing the characteristic way in which the waves break. The result was a collection of nine places renowned worldwide for their waves “on their best days”.
These surf spots are: Superbank, Australia; Anchor Point, Morocco; Jeffreys Bay, South Africa; Rincon, USA; Skeleton Bay, Namibia; Uluwatu, Indonesia; Chicama, Peru; The Pass, Australia; and Pavones, Costa Rica.

Esos lugares son: Superbank, Australia; Anchor Point, Marruecos; Jeffreys Bay, Sudáfrica; Rincón, EEUU; Skeleton Bay, Namibia; Uluwatu, Indonesia; Chicama, Perú; The Pass, Australia; y Pavones, Costa Rica.
